Firemen respond to blaze on Lombardy

A structure fire occurred to a duplex unit Sunday afternoon at 18 Lombardy Place. Clinton Fire Department arrived on the scene two minutes after the call was received. Firefighters were able to put out the fire before it could damage the second duplex unit.

A low bid of $386,000 from Nurnberg Roofing of Corn was accepted Monday morning by Custer County commissioners for a new roof on the County Jail.

Cheer State

Clinton High School cheerleaders including Audrey Shackelford (holding the “C”) and Evelyn Ponce competed Saturday in Moore for the 2021 OSSAA Game Day State Championship. It was the first time for the squad to qualify for the event.
