The Custer County Sheriff’s Office had a busy year in 2021. A total of 19,419 calls were answered throughout the year.
The highlight of 2021 for the Arapaho Fire Department was purchasing a new rescue unit to better serve the city. Assistant Fire Chief Koby King said the department had a total of 131 calls last year. It responded to 64 grass fires, 56 medical calls, 6 structure fires and 5 vehicle incidents.
Arapaho-Butler High School student Aubrey Nickels received Outstanding Attitude, Outstanding Student and Perfect Attendance Awards in Cosmetology at the Western Technology Center.
