The Clinton Fire Department has  been receiving several calls in reference to the smoke around town. There are currently several large grass fires in different parts of the state and with the high winds the smoke has blown in from one of them.

Portable wiring

New information was released on the Custer County embezzlement and conspiracy charges filed against Monte Wade Goucher, Tim Binghom, Jerry Lynn Dean and Joe Don Dickey.

Clinton’s United Fund board members decided to stop fundraising towards their $40,000 goal for 2021-2022. UF raised approximately $22,200, but Secretary Judy Schmidt said progress has been slow and it’s difficult to keep going.

Giving hearts

Members of the Clinton and Arapaho-Butler FFA chapters visited the Clinton Mission House to donate barbecue from the Custer County Livestock Show and Premium Auction.
