Christianity can be at its best during war times

We are watching something quite foreign as we watch Russia attack Ukraine. It's not the bombing of everything from maternity wards to nuclear power plants, though those atrocities are shocking. But in the midst of the inhumanity of war, we are also seeing some of the best of humanity. Radical hospitality is on display in Ukraine, and that's what can be quite foreign to Americans.

CFD puts new fire truck into action

The Clinton Fire Department has a new 2021 Ford F-550 fire truck that will increase the department’s ability to handle grass fires. The truck cost approximately $150,000, according to Fire Chief Brett Russell, with $120,000 coming from the Custer County use tax, $20,000 from the City of Clinton, and $10,000 from the CFD sales tax fund.

CMS food pantry stock is getting low

The Clinton Middle School food pantry is currently running low on perishable and nonperishable food items as well as toiletries.

The deadline for individuals to change their party affiliation before this year’s primary or run-off primary elections is March 31.

Arapaho-Butler’s Pre-K enrollment program for the 2022-2023 school year will be April 5 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. inside the elementary school cafeteria.
