The Route 66 Museum held its biannual hall of fame inductions Saturday recognizing Betty Wheatley of Afton and the late Allen Threatt Sr. for their contributions and commitment to Route 66. It was also announced that an investment of over $1 million is being made for added improvements and exhibits to the museum and other attractions across the state along Route 66.
No details of the actual crash were released by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, but an Elk City man is dead following a two-car collision Sunday afternoon a half mile west of Elk City.
Around 1:30 p.m. Friday a two-car collision involving a Clinton Police officer occurred at the intersection of 10th Street and Gary Boulevard. No injuries were reported, but the patrol car involved is expected to be totaled.
