Summer Playground wrapping up

This Friday, Summer Playground will come to a close to prepare for the school year starting in a few short weeks.

Robert James Hanson, 28, of Sweetwater has been charged with endangering others to elude police and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute following a motorcycle wreck on the Exit 65A onramp to Interstate 40 on June 28.

The hot and dry weather was the main topic of discussion during Monday’s weekly meeting of Custer County commissioners. The commissioners also approved a resolution to officially update county road maintenance lines.

Giving back to those who gave

The Star Spangled Quilters, the Arapaho chapter of the Quilts of Valor Foundation, made quilts for veterans at the Clinton Veterans Center and presented them this past Tuesday.
