The Clinton City Council received updates on projects at the Clinton Lake Dam and the Clinton Lake Powder Activated Carbon (PAC) project at its regular meeting Tuesday.

Multiple fire departments responded to a large grass fire near Matt’s RV west of Clinton off of I-40 Exit 62 Tuesday afternoon. The fire burned between 40 and 50 acres and threatened structures in the area.

Sealed and ready

Located at 2140 W. Gary Blvd., the former location of the Whitten Inn, has been sealed on the back side of the building to begin asbestos abatement.
