Two Clinton Public Schools administrators will soon be leaving the district to pursue other opportunities according to CPS Superintendent Tyler Bridges. CPS Assistant Superintendent Adam McPhail will be leaving to become the superintendent of Pauls Valley Public Schools while Clinton High School Principal Chad Pugh will take up a new position at Western Equipment in Clinton.

A Leedey man was injured in a two-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon on State Highway 34 and E. 870 Rd., less than a mile east of Hammon.

ABHS student honored

Katie Edelen, center, was selected as this year’s Washita Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen from Arapaho-Butler High School. The DAR Good Citizen Program and Scholarship contest was established to encourage and reward the qualities of a good citizenship. This program is open to high school seniors. The entry includes grades, community service, activities, a letter of recommendation and an essay. One student from each high school will be chosen as the Washita Chapter DAR winner and their application will be sent to district contest. The district winner will go to state judging and finally two winners will be chosen to receive 5,000 scholarships at the national level.
