DEAR HARRIETTE: I only work parttime for a small business that is run by two people. I work remotely. I used to work full-time, but part-time made more sense for me and my schedule. Sometimes I think my bosses forget that I work part-time, based on the amount of work they give me on a daily basis.
Dear Doctors: Is there a treatment for psoriatic arthritis that doesn't carry the risk of lymphoma or other cancers? I have this kind of arthritis, and it is very painful. However, I don't want to jump from the frying pan into the fire with a treatment that is going to give me a more dangerous disease.
In 1941, Japan launched a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, killing 2,403 American soldiers and civilians.
Dear Doctors: I come from a large family, and we'll have a lot of holiday parties. I want to enjoy myself, but I also want to start the new year feeling healthy. My concern is more about drinking alcohol than about eating. I would appreciate it if you could talk about how to handle that part of the holidays.
DEAR HARRIETTE: I'm getting married soon. Planning the wedding has been stressful for a lot of reasons, but one of the main reasons has been my fiance's groomsmen. One of the groomsmen's girlfriends is extremely jealous and does not want him walking down the aisle with any of my bridesmaids. She is demanding that her boyfriend walk down the aisle alone. My fiance has tried to resolve the issue to no avail. My solution is to kick him out of the wedding and uninvite the girlfriend (I barely know her).
